The Starke County Community Foundation’s Ambassador Club recently presented a series of pop-up grants to local first responders.
Ambassador Club Members Dave Altman and Cheryl Orkis provided a $1,000 grant check to Hamlet Police Chief Clint Norem, Starke County Sheriff Jack Rosa and Justice Center Jail Commander Austin Fletcher, Starke County EMS Director Jim Garner, Knox Police Detective Kenny Pfost, North Judson Town Marshal Kelly Fisher and North Judson Police Department Officer Brian Menke, and Knox Police Chief Harold Smith.
The Starke County Community Foundation’s Ambassador Club presented pop-up grants to local fire departments earlier this year and wanted to continue showing their appreciation for the professionals who dedicate their lives to helping others and keeping our communities safe with these end-of-year pop-up grants.
In addition to Orkis and Altman, the Ambassador Club consists of Barbara McLaughlin, Cherry Gumz, Becky Pflugshaupt, Suzy Bishop, Marilyn Wickert, and Jennifer Gappa.
