The North Judson Town Council members discussed an ordinance this week that creates the position of town manager.
The Veridus Group is assisting the town in creating this position. The council approved the first reading of the ordinance during the January 2 meeting and reviewed the ordinance again this week.
The ordinance allows the creation of a town manager who would be chosen by the voting members of the town council. The proposed job description is patterned after industry standards, state code, and additional wording that would format the position specifically to the Town of North Judson.
The North Judson Town Council members unanimously adopted the ordinance that puts it into effect at the time of adoption. The town council will meet Tuesday, January 23 to complete the review and adoption of the 2024 salary ordinance that would include the pay for that position.
