One person was arrested after deputies from the Starke County Sheriff’s Office investigated a call of a domestic altercation Wednesday, January 24 at about 5 p.m. CT.
Officers were called to a residence in the 4000 South block of 100 West in North Judson and when they arrived, deputies attempted to make contact at the residence, but were not successful. Deputies attempted to make contact through clear and loud announcements.
After about two hours, a man subsequently exited the residence and was given commands, according to the report. It was at that time he reportedly complied and was taken into custody by officers.
The suspect’s name was not given in the report. The incident remains under investigation and formal charges will be determined by the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police say this was in isolated incident. There is not an ongoing threat.
The Starke County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the North Judson Police Department, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, and Starke County EMS.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
