Knox Community School Board Members Hire Paraprofessional, Receive Update on Middle School Information

The Knox Community School Board members took action last week to hire a Preschool Special Needs Transportation Paraprofessional, according to Superintendent Greg Mikulich.

“We have a bus that’s getting quite a few new students on it and we want to make we can support our students,” explained Mikulich.

The position was being recommended as a safety measure for students.

Mikulich also stated that the school board received updates from Knox Middle School Principal Jim Condon.

Mikluich continued, “We recognized our Middle School Robotics Program. This is a new program for us that we’re just starting up they started competitions and are performing well. We had Athletic Director Neill Minix come in and he gave us kind of a winter wrap-up of our athletic programs and foreshadowing of the spring sports that are coming up.”

The board also discussed several NEOLA policies as presented which include relations with special interest groups, Teacher Appreciation Grants, and anti-harrassment. Policies will be voted on during the school board’s next meeting April 1.
