Secretary of State Diego Morales presented a grant check Monday, March 18 to Pulaski County Clerk JoLynn Behny and her staff from the Federal Help America Vote Act to go toward local election improvement and security efforts.
The check amount was for $22,300 which will go toward the purchase of 10 Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines to accompany the 10 voting machines recently donated to Pulaski County from the Jasper County clerk.
Behny told the Pulaski County Election Board members Monday afternoon that this will present the availability of more voting machines to be placed at the Winamac and Francesville Vote Centers on Election Day.
