Knox Community School Board Receives Update on Project Attend

The Knox Community School Board received an update on Project Attend when they met last week.

Superintendent Greg Mikulich said the project assists students who tend to miss a significant amount of school.

Mikulich explained, “Our assistant principals identify students that have missed 10-plus days of school. We have a committee that sits down and discusses these students and families and how we can help them get to school and any assistance we can give the families. The State says a student can only miss 10 days of school. We keep tabs on that and our goal is that our number gets smaller and smaller as the school year goes on because we’re providing more and more support to our students and our families.”

Mikulich said it varies, but there are several students that the school is assisting to make sure they can get to school.
