The Winamac Town Council members opened a public hearing Monday afternoon to take comments on advertised additional appropriations.
The appropriations involved $7,527.65 for car repairs for the Winamac Police Department, $168,700.35 for the Community Crossings Matching Grant Funds, $260,597.07 for the downtown sidewalks and lights project, and $97,652.98 for the American Rescue Plan Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds. The total amount was $534,478.05.
There were no public comments. The hearing was then closed.
The council members later unanimously approved an ordinance that authorizes the additional appropriations.
