Knox Community School Board Discusses Registration, Attendance Policy

The Knox Community School Board discussed registration for the 2024-2025 school year during their last meeting, according to Superintendent Greg Mikulich.

“We are doing online registration so we’re going to need all families to remember to register their student online moving forward here this summer. Those emails have been sent out to those families,” said Mikulich.

He also noted that the school board approved a corporation attendance policy.

“We broke it down in a simple-to-read document: what is an excused absence, what is a parent/guardian-verified absence, and what is an unexcused absence?”

The school corporation is also offering free, nutritious meals this summer for any youth 18 years of age and younger. Breakfast is served at the Knox Community High School from 7:50 a.m. to 8:50 a.m., and lunch is served from 10:50 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. CT until Thursday, June 20. Breakfast is served at the Knox Community Elementary School from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., and lunch is served from 10:30 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. CT until Thursday, June 27. Meals are served Monday through Friday.
