Students at the Knox Community School Corporation will receive free meals for the entire school year.
Superintendent Greg Mikulich said the announcement was made during the school board’s meeting Monday, July 22.
“We are going to be able to provide breakfast and lunch free – no charge – to our students for the 2024-2025 school year,” said Mikulich. “The state has a program that we applied for and we got accepted.”
Mikulich stressed that the free meal is what is on the regular menu for the day. Students will need to pay for any a la carte items.
