The Knox Community School Board will meet tonight where they will hold a public hearing at 6:15 p.m. CT to discuss the teacher collective bargaining process. Testimony to and/or support for salaries and benefits for teachers of the Knox Community School Corporation will be heard.
Following the public hearing, the board members will open the regular session meeting where Knox High School student Jinger Vincent will be spotlighted. The building principals will provide updates from their schools and Director of Special Education Heather Reese will provide an update.
The board will receive a construction update and the administrative handbook will be reviewed for approval. A Jobs for America’s Graduates contract will be presented, along with extracurricular financial reports for 2023-2024.
Donations will be approved, and the board will look at an athletic trainer agreement, a resolution to create a School Corporation Police Department, the addition of an Elementary Special Needs Paraprofessional, and a field trip request.
The public hearing and the regular session meeting will be held in the Administrative Office at #2 Redskin Trail in Knox.
