The Knox Community School Board members opened a public hearing on the 2025 budget, Capital Projects Plan and the Bus Replacement Plan when they met last week.
According to the Indiana Gateway website, the Rainy Day Fund was advertised at $1.3 million, the Debt Service at about $2.8 million, the Education Fund at about $16.6 million, and the Operations Fund at just over $6 million. The total budget is $26,871,100.
The five-year Bus Replacement Plan shows two new school buses each year from 2025 to 2029. The Capital Projects Plan lists various updates to bleachers, roofing, parking lots, scoreboards, tennis courts, hallways, flooring, and air handlers in the next three years.
There were no public comments on the budget.
The board members plan to adopt the budget during their next meeting Monday, October 21.
