Knox City Council Approves Signage on Henry Drive, Short Drive

The Knox City Council members discussed signage on Henry Drive and Short Drive during their most recent meeting.

Mayor Dennis Estok explained that with the new addition of the Henry Drive subdivision and the acceptance of Short Drive into the city inventory of streets a resident asked that a speed limit sign be included in that area. The council agreed that there should be two speed limit signs at the lowest legal speed limit allowed as the area should open up in the spring. The subdivision will be developed with more than 20 homes in the area so two speed limit signs were approved at this time.

Estok also suggested a stop sign at intersection Short Drive and Henry Drive and one other stop sign to be determined later. They discussed installing a stop sign at Henry Drive and Evelyn Drive, but they will discuss that more with the Knox Community School Corporation as that could be a pick up/drop off stop area for students who live in the Evelyn Drive cul de sac. They will discuss more on the placement of that stop sign at a later time.
