The Knox Community School Board took action this week to approve the Collective Bargaining agreement with the Knox Federation of Teachers.
Superintendent Greg Mikulich said work was done on the pay scale.
“Over the years, compression has occurred with our teachers and our teachers were all over the pay scale,” explained Mikulich. “Now we have a new teacher pay scale and we adjusted all of our teachers based upon that pay. Every teacher got a different amount because they were off different amounts according to our new teacher pay scale. We had 83 teachers that were off the scale so it adjusted a lot of people. We were very pleased with that Collective Bargaining Agreement.”
Additionally, Mikulich said the board approved the Classified pay increase. Each Classified staff member will receive $.50 extra an hour.
