The Knox Community School Board members approved a salary increase for the administrators, directors and salaried employees during their last meeting.
Superintendent Greg Mikulich said a $1,300 salary increase and contract extensions were recommended for all of the people who fall into those categories with the exception of the superintendent and the assistant superintendent. The increase will be retroactive to July 1, 2024.
The board also approved the distribution of Teacher Appreciation Grants. The grant money is given to qualified teachers in the amount of $547 for a teacher rated as highly effective after evaluations and $437 for teachers rated as effective.
The board also accepted several donations totaling $5,300 toward a corporation police car. Other donations were made to FFA, family Science night, and teacher appreciation.
