Knox City Council, Knox Mayor Makes Appointments for 2025

The Knox City Council members made appointments during their first meeting of 2025 this week.

Jeff V. Berg and Mary Perren were appointed to the Knox Redevelopment Commission.

Jaime Gruszczynski, Jeff V. Berg, and Sherry Cowen were appointed to the Knox Plan Commission.

Shannon Hoekman was appointed to the Knox Board of Zoning Appeals.

Jeff V. Berg was appointed to the Starke County Economic Development Foundation.

Bill Gustafson was appointed to the Starke County Solid Waste Board.

Knox Mayor Dennis Estok made the following appointments: Justin Schramm as City Attorney, Chad Dulin as Chief of Police of the Knox City Police Department, Kenny Pfost as the Deputy Chief of Police of the Knox City Police Department and Chief of the Knox-Center Township Fire Department, Jeff Borg as Street Superintendent, Tim Lindewald as Water Superintendent, Jason Clemons as Wastewater Superintendent, Dennis Fornelli as the Director of Recreation, Park Superintendent nominee Bobby Trusty (approval needed by Park Board), Lonnie Boley as the Director of Building and Code Compliance, and Lonnie Boley as Planning Administrator nominee.

Bill Gustafson was appointed to the Starke County Alcohol Beverage Board.

Marcia Hayes, Marsha Boggs and Mike Estok were appointed to the Knox Redevelopment Commission.

Steve Dodge and Jim Collins were appointed to the Knox Board of Works.

David Metz and Jeff Houston were appointed to the Knox Plan Commission, Jeff Houston was appointed to the Knox Board of Zoning Appeals, and Glenn Barnes was appointed to the Knox Park Board.

A representative is still needed on the K-IRPC Board.
