Special Olympics Indiana Marshall & Starke counties just completed our 2nd Fall Bowling Tournament!
Our bowling Tournament was held at Bowlaway Lanes in Knox. We had over 40 athletes from Marshall, Starke, and Pulaski Counties compete on December 7th. Due to the large number of athletes, we had two separate sessions. Coached by Elizabeth Polstra and Bobby Hodge.
Across both sessions we had over 15 volunteers. These volunteers are very appreciated. To do a bowling Tournament of this capacity it takes several Volunteers to make it happen. We had volunteers coaching, lane attendants, score keepers, award presenters, and of course an amazing cheer section! We offer many different sports to those with intellectual disabilities throughout the year.
We had several divisions for this tournament from youth (juniors & seniors), men, and women’s divisions. Athletes practiced for eight weeks leading up the tournament.
