City of Knox to Work with Company to Discuss Former Moose Property

Knox Mayor Dennis Estok updated the Knox City Council members last week about the former Moose property on Main Street across from the Starke County Courthouse.

The Moose building was demolished in 2022 and the city would like to forward with the future of the property.

Mayor Estok said he and Councilman Jeff V. Berg recently spoke with representatives from the Veridus Group that will help the city with connections needed to move forward with any potential plans. Mayor Estok said a survey was done on what to do with the property and a commercial feature was what was wanted the most. Another meeting is planned for March 11 to continue discussions.
