The Knox Community School Board members recognized the girls wrestling team when they met this week, according to Superintendent Greg Mikulich.
“We highlighted our girls wrestling team which officially became a sport this year through the IHSAA,” said Mikulich. “They did a fantastic job. We had one wrestler go to state this year which is fantastic!”
The board also approved the distribution of funds received from the Early Literacy Achievement Grant from the Indiana Department of Education. The total amount received was $16,484.74 and each qualifying K-2 teacher who impacted student reading levels received about $499.
