Shannon Watts, Lindsey Dennis Plead Guilty to Drug Charges

Shannon Watts and Lindsey Dennis pleaded guilty to drug charges in plea and sentencing hearings in Starke Circuit Court Friday, February 7.

Shannon Watts pleaded guilty to a Level 6 Felony charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested September 14, 2024 after deputies from the Starke County Sheriff’s Office conducted a warrant check at a residence on 400 South in Starke County. He was sentenced to 12 months in the Starke County Justice Center with no part of the sentence suspended. The Court noted that the amount of methamphetamine the defendant possessed was .6 grams, and given the defendant’s criminal history the plea agreement calling for an executed sentence was appropriate.

Additionally, Lindsey Dennis pleaded guilty to a Level 6 Felony charge of possession of methamphetamine. She was arrested July 14, 2024 following a traffic stop on Heaton Street in Knox by an officer with the Starke County Sheriff’s Office. She was sentenced to 12 months in the Indiana Department of Corrections, with all of the sentence suspended to be served on probation.  Dennis is ordered to participate in all programming as recommended by Starke County Court Services.
