The Starke County Commissioners are still seeking a few candidates for select county boards and commissions seats.
Two Democrat candidates are being sought for the Starke County Planning Commission. Candidates must live in the unincorporated areas of Starke County and not inside the corporate limits of the Town of North Judson, Town of Hamlet or City of Knox.
The commissioners are also seeking one Republican member and one Democrat member for the Knox City Planning Commission who do not live in the corporate limits of the City of Knox. Candidates must live or own property within the two-mile jurisdiction of the City of Knox.
The Starke County Commissioners are also looking to fill a vacancy on the P.T.A.B.O.A. Board and a Starke County BZA member. The Starke County Council is also looking for a Starke County BZA member. The BZA members do not need to be a specific party affiliation.
Appointment forms are available in the Starke County Auditor’s Office and the Starke County Planning Commission Office in the Starke County Annex No. 1 building at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
