In other news, the Mint Festival Committee members are still working on electrical components, but note there are great features in this year’s event set for June 13-15. They are researching a potential carnival company, but explained that most of the carnival companies in Indiana are booked years in advance and are difficult to find. The music and live entertainment include a lot of great favorites, along with Henry Lee Summer. A variety of craft and food vendors are slated to be open that weekend as well.

North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Chief Todd Jackson said there will be a touch-a-truck event during the festival where kids of all ages will be able to touch a fire truck during the festival. Other emergency response entities will also be available during that event. He also mentioned the golf cart poker run will be in full swing.

The council approved a contract with Mad Bomber for $10,500 for the fireworks event set for that Saturday night during the festival.
