On March 25, 2025, Starke County Sheriff Jack Rosa and department staff celebrated five employees who were recognized as their 2024 Employees of the Year. The Sheriff’s Department lauded their “hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving our community”, and stated in a press release that these employees “have set a remarkable example for us all.”.
Congratulations to this year’s awardees: Jail Sergeant Cassandra Jones, Dispatcher Becca Hardel, and Deputies Jack Hudgens, Kolin Mann, and PJ McKee! The Sheriff’s Department’s press release included a message to all of their Employees of the Year for 2024, saying, “Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for everything you do to make our department and community stronger.”.
