STARKE COUNTY – According to a public notice shared by the Starke County Surveyor’s Office, they have contracted with Heritage Drone Service to perform vegetation management through aerial spraying along approximately 67 miles of regulated drains across Starke County.
The Surveyor’s office shares that Heritage Drone Service is fully licensed by both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Office of the Indiana State Chemist.
They state that all chemicals used in this process are aquatic-safe and approved for use in and around waterways.
Spraying is scheduled to begin in May, weather permitting.
All affected landowners along these regulated ditches will receive a notification letter by mail, from the Surveyor’s Office, with additional details.
