The Knox Community Schools will hold a School Board meeting on Monday, June 2nd at 6pm Central time.
The meeting will be held at the School’s Administrative Office which is located at 2 Redskin Trail in Knox.
The meeting will open with a section for the public to comment on any items listed on the agenda.
After that, the agenda states that the School Board will discuss a Champion Moment; and recognize Bethany Barnes for receiving the Indiana Academic All-Star award. The building principals will update the Board on their respective buildings.
The next agenda item is the personnel report, where the Superintendent will recommend the approval of three resignations and two new hires throughout the school system.
Under the Business section of the agenda items of discussion include Claims, an update on the upcoming construction project at Knox High School, and an update on registration for the 25-26 school year. Also under Business, the superintendent will discuss with the Board a potential partnership with Lifewise Academy. The Superintendent will recommend that the board approve the addition of an additional special education teacher at the elementary school, the agreement with Site Logiq and the School Corporation, and donations from the Northern Indiana Community Foundation in the amount of $1,000 to sponsor Care Closets at the 3 buildings and from the Knox United Methodist Church in the amount of $146.00 to cover delinquent student lunch accounts.
The final item under Business states that the Superintendent will recommend to the board that they approve the addition of Premier Substitute Teachers; with an explanation on the stipulations and expectations of this position being provided.
At the end of the meeting, there will be a section for the public to address items that were not on the agenda for the meeting. Following public comments, and any comments or questions from administrators and the Board, the meeting will be adjourned. The public is invited to attend this meeting. The next regular board meeting of Knox Community School Corporation will take place on June 16th at 6pm Central Time.
