WANATAH – Tri-Township Jr. Sr. High School in Wanatah has been selected by the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning, or CELL, at the University of Indianapolis as a partner high school for the 2025 Indiana Pathways to Careers and Postsecondary (P-CAP) program.
The P-CAP program is intended to reach students who have high potential but are disengaged from school and are at risk of dropping out. The program helps prepare these students for in-demand careers in the local economy.
Superintendent of Tri-Township Consolidated School Corporation Dr. Pamela Moore stated that the school was incredibly proud to be chosen as a partner school. She stated that as a small, rural district, they know the importance of meeting students where they are. P-CAP was launched in 2022 through an Explore, Engage, and Experience grant from the Indiana Department of Education. The first school to partner with the program saw a 28% grade point average increase, and 4% attendance increase from the end of eighth grade to the middle of 10th grade. Initially the program started with four pilot schools, and the model has now expanded to include 15 Indiana high school with the addition of the 2025 cohort schools.
