The Starke County Youth Club was recently featured on WNIT’s Education Counts Michiana program; in a segment that talks about the various programs offered by SCYC and how those programs positively impact the youth in our local communities.
The segment, which can be watched here, features Executive Director Irene Szakonyi, Donor Relations Manager Marc Vendl, Programs Officer LaTausha Cotner, and Culture Officer Allison Scott.
The segment also features clips from Starke County Youth Club’s summer camp, which is running through the end of this week. In the clips, summer camp attendees are shown participating in activities such as a float/sink science experiment, learning about the Caribbean Islands and crafting their own reefs out of clay, discussing and drawing different types of animals, and playing group games and constructing forts with a fort-building kit.
