Knox Community School Board to Meet July 7

Knox Community Schools will hold a regular school board meeting this evening, July 7th at 6pm Central Time.

The meeting will be held at the Administrative Office. After a call to order, pledge of allegiance, and motions to adopt this meeting’s agenda as well as accept the minutes from the June 16th regular board meeting, the meeting will open up for public comments. During this time, patrons are given 4 minutes to address any questions regarding any agenda item. There will be no action taken on any item presented during this time.

Next the board will consider a personnel report which includes two new hires and two new extracurricular appointments.

Under the Business section of the agenda, the board will consider the approval of current claims, the food service bid renewal, a resolution for rainy day fund, the transfer of $1.5 million from the Education Fund to the Rainy Day Fund, and will hold a discussion on numerous revisions to several Neola policies, along with new proposed policies and replacement policies. This is a presentation only, with the policies to be voted on at the next board meeting.

The next section of the agenda is a hearing on a lease and a hearing on additional appropriation. Following that, the school board meeting will allow for public comments from patrons regarding items that are not on the agenda, with 4 minutes to address any questions. Following comments or questions from the administrators and the board, the meeting will be adjourned. The next regular Knox School Board meeting will take place Monday, July 21st at 6pm Central Time.
