The Starke County 4-H Fair has announced their 2026 dates, after deliberation by the fair board.
The dates for the 2026 Starke County 4-H Fair will be June 20th through 26th.
Earlier this month, on July 2nd, the Starke County Fairgrounds originally made an announcement that next year’s fair dates would be changed to be held in the beginning of June. The original post cited wanting to be able to keep the carnival next year, as well as wanting to avoid scheduling conflicts with the Mint Festival and Fourth of July celebrations.
This original announcement was met with some pushback from the community, and the Fair Board made an announcement the following day, July 3rd, that they were listening to feedback and needed some time to regroup and work through possible changes. They stated that though the carnival has played a big role in helping the fair grow, the kids are the mission that remain at the heart of the fair. They did note that without the carnival, growth and improvements to the fair may slow or temporarily pause.
This Monday, July 7th, the Fair Grounds announced that the 2026 4H Fair Dates would be June 20th through 26th. The also noted that they are working on an added event or festival to be held in early June.
