STARKE COUNTY – The Starke County Highway Department has announced they will be closing 800 S. between US 35 and 750 E. beginning September 15, 2025 through September 19, 2025.
The closure is in order to begin preservation work as specified in the grant received below:
Mammoth Solar, in partnership with the Starke County Highway Department and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), has brokered a $1.2 million infrastructure grant to support significant improvements to Starke County roads. The funds, awarded to the Starke County Highway Department, are designated for use on roadways impacted in part by the ongoing construction of Mammoth Solar.
They ask that only residents who live on this segment road, school buses, and emergency services, travel this road while the work is being performed.
