John Glenn School Corporation to meet September 16

The John Glenn School Corporation will hold a regular school board meeting tonight, September 16th, at 7pm. The meeting will take place at the John Glenn Administration Building. The public is invited to attend this meeting.

The meeting will open with the establishment of a quorum, the Pledge of Allegiance, and roll call. Board members will move to recognitions from Walkerton Elementary, North Liberty Elementary, Urey Middle School, and John Glenn High School, followed by a period for public comment.

The consent agenda for the meeting covers routine business such as approving the minutes from their September 2 regular session, authorizing the payment of vouchers, confirming personnel recommendations, and reviewing transfer student requests. Under new business, the board will consider school improvement plans for the coming year and vote on the advertisement of the 2026 budget.

Reports will be delivered by Assistant Superintendent Dr. Patrick Fuller and Superintendent Christopher Winchell before board members share their own questions and comments.

The agenda also lists several upcoming calendar events for John Glenn School Corporation, including Falloween festivities from September 26 through 28, the National Art Honor Society Induction on October 1 at 6 p.m., a homecoming bonfire and Powderpuff football game later that evening at 7 p.m., the homecoming football game against LaVille on October 3, and the Fall Choir Concert on October 6.

The next regular school board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, at 7PM, also at the John Glenn Administration Building.
