
Knox Community School Board will be holding a regular meeting this upcoming Monday, September 8th.
The meeting will be held at 6pm Central Time at Knox Community School Corporation’s administrative office. The public is invited to attend.
After the meeting is called to order, and the pledge of allegiance and corporation mission statement both recited, the board will vote on the adoption of the agenda for the meeting.
They will then vote on the minutes from their August 4th meeting, and their August 26th executive session.
The next section of the meeting will be for public comments on any agenda item.
A Champion Moment will be presented, as well as a report from the principals on their goals for the 25-26 school year for their respective buildings.
The board will hear the personnel report, including one resignation and 5 new hires.
The next section of the agenda is Business, and will include the Treasurer’s Report, the Vendor Usage Report, and Claims. Also under Business is the Neola Policy Approval, an update on the high school construction project from the Superintendent, and the Extracurricular Financial reports from last school year.
The board will vote on accepting two donations: An anonymous donation to the KCES Science Program / Outdoor Lab for $5,000, and the Hamlet Fire Department’s donation for the FFA for $400.
Following, the board will discuss upcoming fundraisers, overnight field trips for the Marching Band, Winter Drumline, FFA, and Graphics Department, and a Memorandum of Understanding between Marian University and the Knox Community School Corporation, to conclude the Business section of the agenda.
The next portion of the meeting will be open for public comment in regards to items that are not on the agenda, followed by any comments or questions from administrators and the board. The meeting will then be adjourned. The next Knox School Board meeting will take place on Monday, October 6th at 6pm Central Time. The public is invited to attend.
