Knox Community School Board to meet October 20

The Knox Community School Corporation has announced a regular school board meeting to be held this upcoming Monday, October 20th at 6pm Central Time. The meeting will be held in the administrative office.

The meeting will open with the Pledge of Allegiance, and the recitation of the mission statement. Board members will then vote on the approval of the agenda, as well as minutes from their October 6th meeting and executive session.

Items on the agenda for the meeting include the review and voting on several personal items, including an elementary special needs paraprofessional, and a high school custodian.

Under the Business Matters section of the agenda, the board will consider the adoption of the 2026 budget, including the Capital Projects Fund Plan and the Bus Replacement Fund. The treasurer will present financial and vendor usage reports, and the school board will vote on the approval of current claims.

An update from the superintendent will include a report on the high school construction project that is ongoing, and the acknowledgement of several donations made to the school.

The board will also talk about upcoming fundraisers, the approval of an agreement with Jobs for American Graduates, and the board meeting schedule for 2026.

There will be a section of the meeting for public comments, as well as a section for additional remarks from administrators and board members, before the meeting is adjourned. The public is invited to attend this meeting.
