According to an announcement from the Starke County Treasurer, Fall installments of property tax bills are due by November 10th. Citizens are reminded that 1 envelope was sent out with both Spring and Fall Remittance Coupons earlier this year, in the spring.
Property tax bills can be viewed and paid online at lowtaxinfo.com; simply select Starke County. Make sure to only enter 1 field of information from the search menu; an error will occur if you use more than 1 search field at once.
They can also be paid by phone, if you have your Tax ID number. You can call 1-877-690-3729, Jurisdiction code 2445.
If you wish to pay in person at the office, you can visit 53 East Mound Street in Knox, Monday through Friday from 8am – 4pm Central Time, with the office being closed from noon-1 daily for lunch break. There is a drop box available near the north entrance of the Annex Building.
Additional drop box locations include at 1st Source Bank in Knox, First Farmers Bank in Knox and North Judson, Demotte State Bank in Knox, and First National Bank of Monterey in both Monterey and North Judson. If using a drop box, your payment must be placed in an envelope that the taxpayer provides; the banks will not provide envelopes.
