The Starke County Highway Department recently announced that it was taking applications for a full-time driver.
Those applying need to have at least a Class B CDL.
Interested applicants can go online to the Starke County Government website and click “Employment” to find more information about the position.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance and preservation of roads, bridges, and culverts; as well as snow removal, heavy equipment operation, tree trimming, material hauling and other duties as assigned.
The County website can be found at starke.in.gov; and applications can be printed from there.
Alternatively, applications can be obtained at the Starke County Highway Department, located at 3835 East 250 North in Knox. Their hours are Monday through Friday from 6am – 2pm Central Time.
