Starke County Court Services is reminding citizens that its second chance job and resource fair will be taking place tomorrow, Wednesday April 8th.
The job fair will take place from 10am – 1pm Central Time at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center, located at 55 East Lake Street in Knox.
This fair is the first of its kind, and is specifically aimed towards individuals in Starke County who have been involved in the justice system.
As a condition of supervision, those who are probationers who are delinquent in child support obligations, victim restitution, and who are unemployed or underemployed will be required to attend the job fair.
The event is hosted by the Indiana Department of Correction Hoosier Initiative for Reentry, or (HIRE), the Starke County Probation Office, and the REFORM Alliance.
This job fair will feature second-chance employers and local organizations who are offering services and re-entry resources. Participants can connect directly with hiring partners and service providers in a welcoming, supportive space.
