The Starke County Auditor’s Office announced this week that tax bills were scheduled to be mailed yesterday, April 13th from the printers.
Citizens who have not received their tax bill by the end of April should reach out to the Treasurer’s office at 574-722-9111.
All Spring installments are due by May 11th, with Fall installments due by November 10th. The county reminds citizens that only one bill will be sent with both Spring and Fall Remittance Coupons.
Property tax bills can be viewed and paid online at lowtaxinfo.com. Select Starke County, and enter only 1 field of information from the search menu, as using more than one search field will cause an error.
Tax bills can also be paid by phone by calling 1-877-690-3729, with the Jurisdiction code 2445. Those paying via phone need to have their Tax ID# ready, which can be found on the second page of the tax bill.
Payments may also be made by mail addressed to:
Starke County Treasurer
1st Source Bank
PO Box 327
South Bend, IN 46624
Mailed payments must include Remittance Coupon or they will not be processed.
Payments may also be made via drop boxes, with locations at 1st Source Bank in Knox, First Farmer’s Bank in both Knox and North Judson, Demotte State Bank in Knox, and First National Bank of Monterey in both Monterey and North Judson.
Payments made via drop box must be placed in an envelope, and the banks will not provide envelopes.
Any questions or concerns should be directed towards the Treasurer’s office at 574-722-9111.
