Knox Board of Public Works to consider roof proposal, property reviews next week

The Knox Board of Public Works will meet Wednesday, July 22nd to consider a proposal for repairs at City Hall and review several properties undergoing code enforcement proceedings.

The meeting is scheduled for 9:30am Central Time at Knox City Hall.

Following approval of the June 24th meeting minutes, board members will hear reports from department superintendents.

The agenda also includes consideration of a special leak adjustment request from Skyway Fuels and a roof proposal for City Hall.

Board members are scheduled to review properties at Bower Street, Main Street and Potter Street. A hearing is also scheduled for the property at Williams Street.

According to the minutes from the board’s June 24th meeting, the review of the property on Bower Street follows discussion of a garage demolition that was delayed until after July 1st to allow the property owner time to obtain demolition bids.

The board is also scheduled to revisit Main Street, where members voted during the June meeting to assess a $5,000 non-compliance fee after determining the property remained out of compliance.

The public is invited to attend this meeting.
