The Porter County Soil & Water Conservation District has announced a Soil to Supper event in La Porte County that is open to the community.
The event will take place September 2nd at the Pinney Purdue Agricultural Center in Wanatah. The Agricultural Center is located at 11402 South County Line Road, and the event is scheduled to take place from 5-7pm Central Time.
This event will feature a country picnic supper, and will offer the community an opportunity to learn more about the conservation practices that farmers use to help improve soil health.
The event will feature speaker Kerry Nielson from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service.
