Last week, Knox City Council held a special meeting.
During the meeting, council members voted on the approval of Ordinance 2026 OR5, which establishes a building and construction-related fees fund. The ordinance further repeals all previous ordinances that conflict with the new ordinance.
The ordinance was adopted after a vote.
Also during the special council meeting, councilors approved a donation in the amount of $2,500 for Knoxtoberfest. The donation is a recurring one from the city for the event, hosted by Knox Main Street United. Knoxtoberfest will take place October 3rd this year.
