Knox Community School Board to hold meeting and work session Monday

The Knox Community School Board will meet Monday, August 17, at 6pm Central Time at the corporation’s administrative office, located at #2 Redskin Trail.

The board is expected to consider minutes from its August 3 regular meeting before receiving an update on the school corporation from the superintendent and assistant superintendent.

Board members will then consider multiple personnel matters, including 4 resignations, 3 extracurricular transfers and 5 extracurricular appointments, and 1 leave request.

Under business, the board will receive the treasurer’s report and vendor usage report and consider claims. The superintendent is also scheduled to provide an update on the middle school computer project. Extracurricular financial reports and fundraisers are also on the agenda.

The board is expected to consider hiring an additional bus driver to accommodate an additional route. Members will also consider a revision to a memorandum of understanding with the Starke County Youth Club to add their new daycare program to the document, followed by discussion on an affidavit for payment.

Following the regular meeting, the board will hold a work session at 6:45pm Central or immediately after the regular meeting. The work session will include a discussion and tour of the facilities.

Both of these meetings are open to the public.
