The Winamac Town Park’s small children’s playground may soon get new equipment, thanks to the town’s Kiwanis Club. The club has the chance to apply for a matching grant from the Indiana District of Kiwanis, and has offered to pursue funds for playground equipment. That’s according to Town Attorney Justin Schramm, who also serves on the club’s executive board.

Indiana Department of Revenue Offers Tax Tips, As Filing Season Approaches

The 2018 tax season is about to get underway, and the Indiana Department of Revenue has a few tips to help save you some money. Taxpayers with an adjusted gross income of $66,000 or less may file for free, with the INfreefile program. The Department of Revenue expects that almost 2 million Hoosiers will qualify for free filing this year.

Five Arrested on Drug-Related Charges, after Police Reportedly Find Meth in North Judson Home

 

Five people were arrested on drug-related charges Tuesday afternoon, after police say they found methamphetamine while serving a warrant in North Judson. Shortly after 3:00, officers from the Starke County Sheriff’s Office and North Judson Police Department went to a home in the 300 block of High Street to serve a warrant for failure to appear, according to Sheriff Bill Dulin.

Pulaski County Commissioners to Open Bids for Paving, Lawn Care, Snow Removal, Dump Truck

The Pulaski County Commissioners will open bids for various projects this evening. One of those involves several miles of paving work on County Roads 200 South and 400 East. The commissioners had approved a contract with Central Paving of Logansport for nearly $1.2 million, but they later repealed that decision to allow the project to be bid out formally.
