Dolores K. “Dee” Hammerlund, age 91, of Knox, passed away peacefully in her home of 70 years into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Dee grew up in Chicago, Illinois with her parents, Joseph and Katharene Klimczak, seven sisters and two brothers, who have all preceded her in death.

A Funeral Mass for 96-year-old Helen L. Scheffer, of Pulaski, will be Friday, June 26, at 10 a.m. ET at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pulaski. A Scriptural Wake Service is Thursday, June 25, at 4 p.m. ET at the Frain Mortuary in Winamac. The Rosary will be recited after the Scriptural Wake Service, followed by visitation at the Frain Mortuary from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET. A private family service is planned for 53-year-old Matthew Floyd Boos, of Winamac, following visitation on Saturday, June 27, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET at the Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel in Royal Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Cancer Network or the Winamac VFW Post 1728.

A memorial service for Doris M. Michael, 94, of Hebron, formerly of Knox, will be held Saturday, June 20 at 11 a.m. at Eagle Creek Church. Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox is in charge of arrangements.

Fred was born in LaPorte County Indiana on January 8, 1935. The sixth child of 16 children of Carl Jensen and Ruth Soice Jensen. He enjoyed a happy childhood with all of his brothers and sisters and was very close to all of them. If you asked them about him, they would probably say he was the clown of the family, and loved a good joke. He told plenty of them himself.

Tony Cohn, age 37, of Bass Lake (Knox), passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Tony was born September 14, 1982 in Munster, Indiana. He was working as a plumber out of Union Local 210, he was very artistic, even at a young age, was a meticulous carpenter, an avid hunter and fisherman, had a great sense of humor and loved life. He has lots of family and friends that will miss him dearly. He is survived by his parents, Kim Cohn of Crown Point and Jody Burkhardt of Crown Point, his fiancé Kristie Hunter of Knox, a daughter, Abigail Homrich of Wheatfield, brothers, Ryan Cohn (Alicia) of Culver and Nicholas Cohn of Crown Point, nephews, Kayden and Landon Cohn, and many aunts and uncles and one great aunt. A celebration of life service will take place Friday, June 12, 2020 at 1pm, with visitation two hours prior to services, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.

Richard G. Reed, age 87, Mishawaka, formerly of Knox, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at Golden Living Center in Mishawaka. Richard was born February 3, 1933 in Bay, Arkansas to Orville and Dessie (Mink) Reed, both deceased. He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Bonny M. Olson, 85 of Knox, died Thursday, May 28, 2020, at her home. Bonny was born October 7, 1934, in Knox, IN, to Chester and Lillian (Byrne) Emigh. She attended Knox Community Schools and Indiana University. She maintained a permanent residence in the Knox area all her life and passed away peacefully in her home on Henry Drive where she raised her children and shared many memories with her family and friends. On February 11th, 1956, in Knox, IN, she married Carl Coffin Jr. and they had three children, Curt, Daniel, and Amy.

Joe Jarboe of Bass Lake Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020. He leaves to cherish their wonderful memories his wife of 28 years, Jan. His daughters Krissy (Scott) Kosco, Angie (Steve) Ciric, stepfamily, Missy (Bob) Carrico, Brian (Cheryl) Pemberton and Geoff (Christine) Pemberton. His siblings Mark (Mary) Jarboe, Paul Jarboe, Callie (Chris) Ludwig, Lori (Mike) Mastin, Susie (Tim) Simerly, brother-in-law Kevin (Linda) Williams. Also surviving are his six grandchildren, Jenna and JT Kosko, Bronson and Harper Ciric, Chad Carrico and Ashley Carrico Mark. Six Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
