Vivian Lundstrom, age 91, of Knox, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019. Vivian was born on June 9, 1928 in Chicago to Henry Warren and Ethel Milner Warren, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother Mae Warren. She loved gardening, working in her flower bed and feeding the birds. She also was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. On August 7, 1946 she married William “Bill” Lundstrom, he precedes her in death. Carl Emerson Lucas, age 96, of North Judson, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Oak Grove Christian Village in DeMotte. Carl was born May 1, 1923, in Aldine, Indiana to Charles E. Lucas and Hariett Deardorff Lucas, both deceased. He was a WWII Veteran having served as a Naval Air Cadet in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the North Judson American Legion. Continue reading
Gloria Dickson, age 87, of Knox, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019.
Gloria was born July 19, 1932 in Knox to Ralph Golding and Clarice Foltz Golding Clawson, both deceased. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved traveling, gardening and spending her winters in Florida.
Funeral services for Cletha Fay Scott, 95, of Winamac, will be Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 11 a.m. ET at the Frain Mortuary in Winamac with visitation there on Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Resident’s Fund at the Pulaski Health Care Center.

He was born on August 23, 1961 in Knox, Indiana, the son of James Willie and EmoJean (Cole) Taulbee.
Helen Louise Heise, age 70, of Knox, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019. Louise was born June 4, 1949 in Knox to Curtis Combs and Maggie Shepherd Combs, both deceased. Louise worked for 35 plus years in banking, retiring from the First National Bank of Monterey. She also owned and operated the Melody Drive-In Theatre at Bass Lake with her husband Fred since 1970. The theatre was not just a business to her, it was her hobby and her love, it is where she enjoyed greeting movie goers, visiting with old friends, and making new friends. Continue reading

Kiyoko Ikeda passed away on Thursday July 25 at the age of 98 in Walnut Creek, CA, where she spent the latter years of her life to be near family. She is survived by her brothers, Kingo and Chosei; daughters Martha (Steven) of North Carolina, Peggy living in Japan, and Kathryn (Rick) of California as well as two granddaughters (Kristen Kiyoko & Jaqueline); and four great grandchildren (Madison Kiyoko, Juliet, Naya & Laith). She will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Linda Sue Owens, age 67, of Knox, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Linda was born October 16, 1951 in Hazard, Kentucky to Lee Clemons and Mandy Martin Clemons, both deceased. Linda “Clem” was part of the North Judson San Pierre High School graduating class of 1970, she was a member of the Knox Community Outreach Tabernacle, a 40 plus year member of the Euchre Club, Wednesday night Women’s Golf League, and the Knox American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. From 1985-2010 Linda and Dean, along with Vic Owens were owners of O’s Tap in Knox “Where Good Friends Meet”. Linda’s most precious and important job in her life was being a Memaw to her grandson, Corbin “Corb-man, Corbs” Owens.

Evelyn was born June 8, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to James Toole and Marie Huber Toole, both deceased. She had worked for many years as a secretary in office of Dr. Damodaran. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society, Knox American Legion Auxiliary, Knox VFW Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose.
