01/08/18 Emergency responders were called to an accident on U.S. 30 at 1100 East in Grovertown. The caller reported a vehicle on its roof, but the driver was not injured. However, the driver could not exit the vehicle.

01/08/18 Police were called to an accident on U.S. 30 near Knoll Brothers in Hamlet.

01/08/18 A Knox officer was called to Smith Farm Store in Knox where it appeared that two people were passed out inside a pickup truck.

01/08/18 A car vs. deer accident was reported on State Road 10 east of Range Road in North Judson.

01/08/18 A North Judson resident reported her glasses stolen.

01/08/18 A caller reported a car slid off the road and went into a ditch and hit a tree on U.S. 35 south of 175 N. in Knox.

01/08/18 A vehicle slid off the road on U.S. 35 and 150 N.

01/08/18 A vehicle slid off the road and into the median on U.S. 30 west of U.S. 35 in Hamlet.

01/09/18 A NIPSCO supervisor told Starke County police that a gas leak is occurring at a home in the 300 block of S. 500 E. and the homeowner will not allow the service person inside the home and is making threats against the employee. The resident confirmed a gas leak, but said NIPSCO officials didn’t think it was a threat.

01/09/18 An officer was asked to check on a man inside a vehicle who appears to be passed out. The vehicle was located on U.S. 30 and 300 E. in Hamlet.

01/10/18 A caller told police that a vehicle appeared to have hit a pole at the intersection of 800 S. and 750 E.

01/10/18 Pulaski County officers assisted Starke County officers in investigating an incident where a man reportedly went outside and threw chemicals on a vehicle and lit it on fire. The incident occurred in the 6500 block of E. 800 N. in Monterey.

01/10/18 A car vs. deer accident was reported at 200 E. and 50 S. in Knox.

01/11/18 Starke County officers assisted in a pursuit that began in Pulaski County. The K9 officer was also a part of the investigation.

01/11/18 Norfolk Southern has personnel headed to the crossing gates down at railroad track on 1150 E. near 250 S. in Culver.

01/11/18 A vehicle was reported in the ditch at 400 S. and 100 W. in North Judson. The caller indicated that the people inside the car were afraid to get out as there was water in the ditch.

01/12/18 Police were called to an accident on State Road 8 and State Road 39 that involved two semis. One semi reportedly left the scene.

01/12/18 Police were notified of a traffic hazard at the intersection of State Road 23 in the westbound lane of U.S. 30. There is a rather giant pothole that is causing several vehicles to stop with flat tires.

01/12/18 A caller notified police of a car hitting a pole in the 700 block of W. Toto Road. The driver had left the scene, but the vehicle was found parked a few miles down the road.

01/13/18 A car slid off the road at 1100 E. north of 550 N. in Knox.

01/13/18 Police were asked to check on a woman inside a car at the intersection of U.S. 35 and State Road 10. It appeared the woman had passed out.

01/13/18 A car accident was reported on 700 E. north of 250 N. in Knox.

01/13/18 A car slid off the roadway on Toto Road E. of Fletcher’s Carpet.

01/14/18 A car slid off the roadway on U.S. 35 south of Toto Road in Knox.

01/14/18 A theft was reported at a home on Elm Street in Knox.

01/14/18 An accident was reported on 500 S. west of U.S. 35 in Knox.

01/14/18 A car vs. deer accident was reported on State Road 8 east of State Road 23 in Knox.

01/14/18 Police were called to a bar in the 7700 block of N. State Road 23 in Walkerton after a man reportedly pulled a knife on individuals in the car. The knife was taken from the subject and the subject left the premises.

01/14/18 Clay Lovely, 37, of North Judson, arrested on an active warrant.

01/14/18 Amanda Clem, 36, hold for Sangamon County.
