04/23/18 Knox fire crews were called to a vehicle fire on U.S. 35 near the Knox Nazarene Church.

04/23/18 The Miami County Sheriff’s Department notified the Starke County Sheriff’s Department that they recovered what is left of a stolen vehicle from 05/24/16.

04/23/18 A Grovertown resident told police that an oversized truck took down electric poles and wires in the 5700 block of north State Road 23.

04/23/18 A Knox resident told police that a vehicle owned by her incarcerated friend was stolen.

04/23/18 A resident in the 400 block of south 100 E. in Knox asked for extra patrol in the area as some drivers don’t even slow down for the stop sign at the intersection.

04/23/18 Police were notified that a semi struck a pole in the 6500 block of south State Road 10 in Knox. The pole is laying in the roadway.

04/23/18 Officers were notified that a stolen vehicle from Starke County was located in London, Kentucky.

04/23/18 A Knox resident said the driver of a black Chevy pick-up smashed their mailbox and fled the scene.

04/24/18 A Knox resident filed a fraud complaint.

04/24/18 A San Pierre resident called police to report that his children did not get off the bus because someone picked them up at school without permission.

04/24/18 A Walkerton resident told police that some unknown person(s) stole items out of her boyfriend’s unlocked truck.

4/24/18 Police received a call about a suspicious man lying in the roadway in the 7300 block of south 125 E. in Knox.

04/25/18 An accident was reported at U.S. 30 and U.S. 35.

04/26/18 A Walkerton woman asked to speak to an officer about vandalism to her vehicle.

04/26/18 A single vehicle accident was reported on 25 N just east of U.S. 35 in Knox. The car hit a pole in that location.

04/27/18 A North Judson mail carrier notified police that a truck passed her vehicle while delivering mail when a rock possibly struck her back window causing it to shatter.

04/27/18 A Koontz Lake resident reported two broken windows at her neighbor’s house.

04/27/18 Emergency personnel were called to an accident in the westbound lane on U.S. 30 just west of the Marshall County line in Grovertown.

04/27/18 A caller told police that a Ford Bronco attempted to go around barricades in the 2500 block of north 1100 E. in Grovertown the vehicle is now stuck in a mount of dirt.

04/28/18 A Grovertown resident told police that he found a handgun in the westbound lane of U.S. 30 at 1200 E.

04/29/18 Police received a call from the La Porte County Sheriff’s Department advising them of a personal injury accident at the bridge on U.S. 30 and U.S. 35.

04/29/18 Emergency personnel responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on State Road 8 west of Range Road with a tree on top of the vehicle. The caller stated the driver was trapped in the car.

04/29/18 A car vs. sheep accident was reported on State Road 23 and 25 N. in Knox.

04/29/18 A car vs. deer accident was reported in the eastbound lane on U.S. 30, one-half mile east of Hamlet.

04/24/18 David Niekirk, 41, of Lakeville, unknown charges.

04/24/18 Richard Fisher, 45, of Hamlet, unknown charges.

04/25/18 James Bogash, 32, of North Judson, arrested on preliminary charges of operating vehicle while intoxicated refusal, operating a vehicle dangerously while intoxicated, resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct, and possession of paraphernalia.

04/26/18 Billy Lovely, 54, of Remington, arrested on preliminary charges of public intoxication and cruelty to an animal.

04/26/18 Justin Miller, 33, arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a synthetic drug or synthetic drug lookalike substance, and an arrest warrant.

04/26/18 April Ciprianu, 37, arrested on preliminary charges of disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.

04/27/18 Alexander Bailey, 19, arrested on a bench warrant.

04/27/18 Christopher Marshall, 31, arrested on a violation of pretrial release.

04/27/18 Samuel Bradley, 42, arrested on a violation of home detention.

04/28/18 John Murphy, 20, arrested on two felony arrest warrants and a preliminary charge of resisting law enforcement.
