Hamlet’s elected officials will get a three-percent pay raise in 2019. Under the salary ordinance approved by the town council Wednesday, the clerk-treasurer’s annual pay will go up to almost $33,200, while council members will get just under $186 per month.
Pulaski County Council Approves Salary Ordinance Revisions
A list of salary adjustments was approved by the Pulaski County Council Tuesday. It reflects previously-approved changes to the Community Development Commission project coordinator salary, as well as a few personnel changes to fill various vacancies. “It’s the change that you made last meeting on Krysten Hinkle,” Auditor Laura Wheeler explained, “and we have Marie Roth that was promoted to the 911 director and David Kain then went to part-time, and then we have Heather Rogers who is in Soil and Water, and she went from part-time to full-time, taking over from Quentin Blount.”
Culver Town Council to Make Amendments to Salary Ordinance
The Culver Town Council members will take a closer look at amendments to the 2018 salary ordinance.
A proposed change was made in the EMS and park departments. The EMS Vice Director would be amended to be a full-time ALS-EM2 position with an hourly range $11.75-$17.50.

The Culver Town Council members adopted two ordinances this week.
An ordinance was approved on second and third reading that allows a retiring police officer, who has served at last 20 years in law enforcement, the ability to retain his or her service weapon, badge and identification cards.
