Hamlet’s new decorative streetlights are getting some positive feedback. Town Council President Dave Kesvormas says he’s gotten a lot of complements about the new lights on Starke Street. “It almost looks like a runway when you come in late at night when it’s foggy,” Kesvormas said during Wednesday’s council meeting. “It looks pretty cool.”

The Knox Board of Works will get updates on some ongoing code enforcement efforts this morning. Director of Building and Code Compliance Kenny Pfost told the board last month that a lot of progress had been made at 342-344 West Spruce Drive, after he imposed a $2,500 fine. The board will get an update on that property today, along with 204 West Bender Street.
