One Occupant Sustains Injuries After 2-Vehicle Crash on 300 E and 250 N

One person was transported to the hospital for injuries, following a two-vehicle crash in Starke County on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Starke County Central Dispatch Center, a pick-up truck and passenger car collided at the intersection of 250 N and 300 E. The Starke County Sheriff’s Department, the Knox Fire Department and Starke County EMS responded to the scene. Continue reading

Police, Fire and Medical Units Respond to a Two-Vehicle Accident on U.S. 35 and 400 N

The Starke County Sheriff’s Department Dispatch Center confirmed that they received a call about a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 35 and 400 N at 6:17 p.m.

Officers from the Hamlet and Knox Police Departments also responded to the accident, along with members of the Knox and Hamlet Fire Departments. Dispatch reported that all medical units and two helicopters were also sent to the scene. Injuries were reported, however, the number of individuals involved and the severity of said injuries are not currently known.  Continue reading

Alleged Vehicle Theft Suspect Flees Resulting in 4-Vehicle Crash in Warsaw

Two fatalities and critical injuries have been reported after a vehicle allegedly fled from police and ran a red light Saturday night.

According to an ISP press release, around 9:20 p.m. on January 13th, an Indiana State Trooper was responding to a theft that apparently occurred at the Meijer located at 1200 Lake City Highway in Warsaw. The report indicates that the trooper saw a car that matched the description of the suspect vehicle, which was described as a white 2003 Pontiac Grand Am.

The suspect vehicle reportedly fled eastbound on US 30 and drove through a red light at the intersection of US 30 and Parker Street, crashing into three other vehicles. Continue reading
