The finalists for the 14th annual Influential Women Awards have been announced, with 258 shining stars highlighting the achievements of women from many leading regional companies and organizations, including several locally familiar faces.

Tomorrow is Election Day! Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time tomorrow.

WKVI’s Anita Goodan rode in the snow plow and even though reporters were offered a chance to drive in an obstacle course at the Plymouth Sub-district, she opted not to challenge the state’s insurance policy. However she did talk to six-year snow plow driver, Dave Pennington, while in the snow plow about what challenges he faces while out on a route.
It’s been a busy few weeks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as drivers and teams prepare for one of the greatest races in the world – the Indianapolis 500.
The groundskeepers and staff at the speedway are especially busy during this time of year. The crews are prepping the track for optimal racing and making sure the facility is just right for the thousands of fans from all over the world who flock to the racetrack to see this race.

A representative from the Henry F. Schricker Public Library in Knox called Anita Goodan and asked her to be a judge for a cupcake contest at the library on Thursday, April 18. She, of course, accepted without hesitation and will join other judges from several Starke County restaurants and members of the library board.

WKVI’s Anita Goodan has reached the top of the leaderboard in the WKVI Bowling Standings after she bowled a 225 Thursday night, beating WKVI’s Tom Berg’s game of 224. The station “trophy” for the highest game bowled in a season by a WKVI bowler was moved into her office early Friday morning.

The WKVI staff took a trip to Winamac, Wednesday, for a scrumptious lunch at Kostas Restaurant. We’d like to thank Gus Ress and his friendly staff for hosting us. It gave the staff a chance to greet restaurant patrons, including Mr. and Mrs. David Bennett, Bill Webb, Sheriff Mike Gayer, and Deputy John Rogers.
