Proposed changes to water billing in Hamlet’s trailer park are drawing concern from its owner. The town has proposed doing away with the meters at individual trailers and sending one big water bill to the entire Country Acres property.

The Starke County Council members will consider several budget transfer requests when they meet tonight.
The Starke County Commissioners will meet tonight where IT Director Richard Franks and EMA Director J. Nier will update the board on the fire department radio communications issue and the Starke County First Responders. Also, they will talk about an invoice from J&K Communications for radios.
